bob: 'hello, dear. you look lovely this morning!'

me: 'thanks!'

bob: 'that color really brings out the reddish highlights in you hair. where do you get that done, by the way?'

me: 'oh, nowhere.'

bob: 'you do it youself? what's it called???' (genuinely needs to know).

me: 'oh, it's not dyed. i've never dyed it before.'

bob: 'well, then!' (does a mouth click.)
