this morning I went to story time with Lindsey and Lily. We missed the time slot for the children lily's age, so we sat in on the older kids session, instead. Lily is 2, which means that she's independent, and insists that she is very old. We thought she would bask in the company of the older children, but instead, she became completely aloof. She sat on Lindsey's lap and didn't participate at all in their songs and dances. When I asked her about it, she told me that she was 'just a baby.' it wasn't sullen, it was just matter of fact. Like she had resigned herself to this. I thought it was amazing. I don't know why, but definitely notable. she is normally so bull-headed.
