It felt like a bad idea to vocalize this before now, but I never felt like John Kerry was going to win. I wished for it, but it all somehow felt hopeless to me from the get go.
But what I didn't expect, was for 36 to pass. That's what is so crazy to me. The Oregon in my consciousness is so rabidly opposed to 36, that it's easy to forget how conservative most everybody else is here. Oregon, why did you do it?
Even more, America, why in hell did you do it? Are you really that OK with the way things have been going for the last 4 years, honestly?
