I recall the time a drunk transient "palm reader" approached us in Matt's yard and after hazy paw inspection told me I'd be won over by the person who understood me. Then I says to the guy, there's nothing to understand- but what I should have said, is there's nothing to be won. Nothing against me or anything.
Just seems like a questionable turn of phrase.
