Hollow-Holler

In preteen summers I would often sleep overnight in a hammock tied between two walnut trees. The walnuts would sometimes drop, striking my face or body and rousing me from sleep. I remember one of these instances very distinctly, the framing of the sky between the trees I was sleeping beneath, and honest to god I saw a shooting star just as I woke.
There is no point, but lately I feel with more urgency than ever a need to write down every remembrance that feels even slightly significant.
