July 23, 2012 - 10:27 If it's fair to assume that you are honest with yourself while you are sleeping, that's one-third, or thereabouts, of your life. All of which you are not conscious. (One more line on the list of reasons to try to dream lucidly.) But the next question is what is the quantifiable good in being honest with yourself? I'm not sure if it matters, as so much is out of your own control. Practiced only at the risk of highlighting hopelessness. In the sphere you can control, there are practices to curb the whelm. Specific, yet encompassing most, in shades: Finding shapes in other shapes, comparing things to other things, pleasing yourself with your own voice, avoiding collisions with other humans.
